RETI has introduced two new professional designations (some call
real estate designations "alphabet soup"). Their main
purpose, because designations seldom become a household name,
is the education you receive from the courses taken. The new designations
are:
"REP" (Real Estate Professional)
This designation requires 90 hours of RETI courses, including
the Salesperson Pre-Licensing course (60 hours) and the Salesperson
Post-Licensing course (30 hours).
To apply for the Real Estate Professional designation, print,
complete and mail or fax the REP designation application (opens in a new window), with copies of relevant certificates of completion, to the RETI main office.
"SREP" (Senior Real Estate Professional)
Requires 150 hours of classroom contact hours, of which at least
60 must be RETI courses. The following is a breakdown of approved
courses to obtain this designation:
- RETI Courses (60 hours minimum)
- Other Provider’s Courses (60 hours maximum)
- College Courses (90 hours maximum)
To apply for the Senior Real Estate Professional designation,
print, complete and mail or fax the SREP designation application (opens in a new window), with copies of relevant certificates of completion, to the RETI main office.
